Our Providers

Laura L. Dahl MD, FAAP

I enjoy becoming part of a team with my patients and their parents, working together for the good of the child. I listen and encourage open communication with my families. I strive to help my patients become healthy, happy, and confident young adults and, of course, encourage that they stay physically active! I truly understand the value of going the extra mile, whether it's treating my patients or training for marathons.

Dr. Dahl attended Washington State University for her undergraduate degree. She initially was a pre-veterinary medicine student. However, after briefly working with large animals, taking their vital signs, she quickly changed her mind and became a pre-med student. She has coached youth sports, umpired youth softball, and always enjoyed working with kids. So the decision to become a pediatrician was an obvious choice for her. Dr. Dahl is board-certified and practices in our Tigard office.

Exercise Enthusiast

Dr. Dahl is the epitome of an exercise enthusiast. Name a sport and she will give it a shot. She has run many Hood to Coast races and many marathons, but her favorite was running the Boston Marathon. She also enjoys biking, hiking, skiing, golf, and playing basketball with her son.

Dog Lover

Dr. Dahl has two high energy Standard Poodles, Rudy and Russell, who always keep her on the go!

Dr. Dahl has one teenage son, Josh. He has taught her so much about parenting! They enjoy playing basketball in the back yard, playing with their two dogs, and cooking together. Actually Josh enjoys eating, Dr. Dahl enjoys cooking.

Fun Facts

While pregnant with her son, Dr. Dahl realized she had college eligibility left to play basketball. She tried out when her son was two weeks old and was a starter for Mt. Hood Community College women’s basketball team for two seasons.

While Dr. Dahl enjoys many of the trails in the Portland area, she is excited to try out the new 73 mile hiking/biking trail, the Columbia River Highway Trail, which will go from Troutdale out to the Gorge and Hood River.
